Dunblane’s historic Leighton Library has 2nd edition of 1755/6 of Dr Samuel Johnson’s dictionary “Dictionary of the English Language” first published #OnThisDay 1755. It contained meanings for 40,000 words & had taken him almost 9 years to compile
