#OnThisDay 1918 World War I German fighter ace known as “The Red Baron”, Manfred von Richthofen, was shot down & killed. During World War I local fundraising in Dunblane raised money to pay for 4 aeroplanes – so named “Dunblane” “Sheriffmuir” “Lecropt” and “Wharrie Glen”
