A vehicle has caused significant damage to the upstream and downstream parapets of the bridge on the B8033 at Kinbuck. The bridge is now closed for emergency repairs.

Council officers indicate that the closure will remain in place until the end of September. Detour signage for vehicles travelling between Braco and Kinbuck should be in place by the end of today (26 July).

While the bridge is closed, the council will look to carry out remedial works to the bridge and approach roads, with the aim of reducing the risk of future vehicular impacts and disruption to the community.
