What is Nia ?  It is a 40 year old worldwide form of movement for fitness and health - adaptable for all kinds of personal goals, age and fitness levels.  Each Nia Teacher brings their own essence to the form inspired and informed by a worldwide and Scottish community of teachers and trainers.

Why have you never heard of Nia ? - it is not pushed as the next and only thing but rather has grown low-profile through, well really just people loving it.  Investment is instead in constant improvement and teacher training.

What is Special about it ?  - too much to tell you here - but 3 things are:-

* the glorious music

* the delightful yet effective way we move - ideally barefoot but shoes are an optio

At Ashfield Workshop, we believe the days of traditional and skilled craftsmanship are not over. These days we know little about the history of the objects we buy.  Almost everything we purchase is the result of mass production. The connection to how objects are made and who makes them is lost. All our cabinetry and timber products are custom made here at our workshop where you can come and see it in progress. Be it a solid wood painted kitchen or a one off piece of furniture. Our aim is to restore the relationship between maker and client.

Flattening Dunblane’s Hills

Dunblane is a hilly place but otherwise suitable for everyday travel by bike within the town and those hills can be ironed out by electrifying the ride. Dunblane by Cycle, a Cycling UK affiliated community group, is working in partnership with Dunblane Development Trust to run an e-bike day on Thursday 12th October. Join us at the Braeport Community Centre where 4 local ebike suppliers/hirers will be on hand to demonstrate a range of models, provide information and lead short uphill rides. Further information

The Stirling Scottish Marathon 2018 will be held on Sunday 29 April 2018. Read a letter from the Council
