CRAFT CENTRAL CIC is a creative education provider aiming to increase accessibility to craft activities
and to support the creative sector in Dunblane and the surrounding areas.
Our objectives are:
* to promote contemporary craft and support local craft makers
* to remove barriers to participation
* to reduce social exclusion in the creative sector
* to bring provision for creative learning in rural locations in line with that available in the urban centres
Our accessible High Street venue houses studio facilities for the Central Scotland School of Craft and
the Central Scotland School of Jewellery, two established centres for creative learning that have recently
amalgamated in the Craft Central building.

The Central Scotland School of Craft is a new initiative coming to the picturesque city of Dunblane in Spring 2021.
We are looking forwards to launching a comprehensive programme of craft workshops, ranging from one day to week-long courses, accessible for everyone from complete beginners to established professional makers.
We have an impressive register of ‘A list’ crafters from all over the country lined up to deliver a range of courses with a focus on heritage & endangered crafts and skilled hand-making.
The Craft School will be an asset to the wider Stirling community, providing a creative hub for continued learning and employment opportunities for local creative freelancers.
It will also draw visitors from out with the local area, contributing to the district’s profile of creative facilities and enhancing the cultural profile of Stirling and the surrounding areas.
Holmehill Community Buyout was formed in January 2005 when Holmehill was put up for sale by Hilton Hotels, The community's campaign to ensure the appropriate development of the hill lasted from 2005 to 2018. In 2018, Holmehill was bought by a newly formed, local charitable trust. Given that the campaign had largely achieved its objectives, it ended in December 2018.
The campaign's website contained a great deal of information about Holmehill and the campaign. When the website was taken down, it was decided that the content should be preserved. So here it is.
Whether you are regular confident free-wheeling road/mountain bikers, relying on electric motors, still on your balance bike or just thinking of starting from scratch, we want to meet you.
Dunblane by Cycle is a community group created in 2017 that is affiliated to Cycling UK after emerging from the success of Discover Dunblane's participation in European Mobility Week in September 2016.
Our aim is to be a "pedalling Dunblaners' forum" that promotes and supports cycling as a practical and safe means of everyday transport for all ages within, to and from the town.
We held a launch event when we invited all committed or aspirant cyclists to drop-in to:
* learn more about our plans for the year
* get advice on how to prepare your bike for summer
* sample some of Dunblane's cycle ways
* have some family fun
