If you’re looking for something to make you laugh and brighten up your day, the Arts Guild is screening ‘For Heaven’s Sake’ (1926), produced by and starring the hilariously hapless Harold Lloyd on Sunday 18th January at 3pm in the Cathedral Hall. It’s a rare chance to see this comedy classic by one of the great American film comedians of the silent era on the big screen. Introduced and accompanied by a live improvised piano score by Dunblane’s own Mike Nolan, who has accompanied silent films across the UK for over thirty years, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud gags. The film's highlights include much traffic chaos, hymn singing by petty criminals and indigestible cakes. It runs for 60 mins; refreshments, hopefully not indigestible, will be served before the screening. Admission is by donation.
